How many times have you made New Year’s resolutions, only to epically fail just two weeks into the year?

We found a great article from Time Magazine (time.com, article written by Ted Spiker) that highlights 17 strategies for keeping your resolutions.

Here are some of our favorites:

  1. The term “resolution” has become another term for “you’re not going to succeed.” Use the term “goal,” instead—with the expectation that you will meet it.
  2. Be specific about what you want to achieve. Time’s example is, “I will set my alarm for noon every weekday for a 30-second stretch of my adductor longus muscles.”
  3. Use social media to your advantage. Tweet/Facebook/Instagram/Snapchat your goal so that you can feel accountable.
  4. Pick a skill, rather than a size. Choose something you can’t physically do right now (like climb a mountain) and train toward your goal. The little steps you take to get there are just…
